Privacy Policy

Luna: Step Counter & Water ("the App"), a steps, water and habit tracking app, is developed by Mag Studios. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

Information We Collect

The App runs entirely on your device. Your step counts, water intake, habits and their completion history, streaks, coins, and settings (companion name, goals, reminder times) are stored locally on your device only. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server: we do not upload, transmit, or store any of this information.

Physical Activity and Step Data

On Android the App asks for the Physical activity permission (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION) to read your device's built-in step counter sensor. On iOS it asks for Motion & Fitness access and reads the step count your device has already recorded, through Core Motion — which is why steps you took before opening the App can appear in it. Either way this is used solely to show your step count inside the App.

Your step data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any third party, it is not shared with advertisers, and it is not used to personalise ads. Uninstalling the App deletes it.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App schedules notifications locally on your device at the times you choose. No notification data is sent to or through a server.

Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner, interstitial, rewarded, and app-open ads. AdMob may collect and use data to serve ads, including:

This collection is performed by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Rewarded ads are entirely optional: you choose whether to watch one, and the reward is in-app coins that can only be spent inside the App. Coins have no monetary value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or cashed out.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App presents a Google-certified consent form (UMP) before serving ads, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time from the App's privacy options. On iOS, the App also asks for your permission before any tracking identifier is used, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalised, and the App works exactly the same.

Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent form before any personalised ads are served, and can change or withdraw that consent at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices inside the App.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Deletion

Because all of your data is stored only on your device, uninstalling the App permanently deletes it. We hold no copy and therefore have nothing to delete on our side.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
